President of the Association is Mr. Hinrich Wolff of the Alfred L. Wolff Company in Hamburg.
Vice President of the Association is Mr. Dr. Takeshi Ogasawara of the San-Ei Gen F.F.I. Inc., Japan
To address all the specialist issues of this rapidly growing industry, the Association is pursuing its work in three sections, each with its own Chairman, budget and development programme. The sectional member groups and its chairpersons currently are:
- Primary Producers (Chairman N.N.)
- Gum Arabic (Mr. Gontrain Dondain, Colloides Naturales International ,CNI, France)
- Other Natural Gums (Mr. Frederic Alland, Alland & Robert Company, France)
The AIPG Secretariat is located at WGA (Association of Wholesale- and Foreign Traders) Hamburg. The Secretary and Legal Adviser is the lawyer Mr. Lutz Düshop.
The Scientific Adviser is Professor Glyn O. Phillips, Chairman of the Food Hydrocolloids Trust and Editor of the Journal "Food Hydrocollids".
