New AIPG initiative: Implementation of Good Practices for Gums

Quality matters and food safety requirements are an important issue in the entire food and food additive branch , and thus are of high importance also in case of natural gums such as Gum acacia. AIPG has now issued “Good Practices for Gums ” (GPG, status 24th June 2011) , giving recommendations on local collection, interim storage, transportation, warehouse storing and processing in facilities of the producing countries. The AIPG GPG document and also an Implementation Plan (19th July 2011) are available in the press section. French and Arab versions of these documents are in preparation.
